WORKING EXPERIENCE

In Government service from 3rd January 1972 till 28th February 2006

1. MINISTRY OF DEFENCE for 12 years (January 1972 - December 1983)

2. THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION (INTAN) for 10 years (January 1984 - December 1993)

As a Training Officer. Conducted training in Supervisory Functions, Public Relations, Administrative Matters and Training of Trainers for participants under the Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) made up of Malaysian & International participants)

3. THE NATIONAL PLANETARIUM, Kuala Lumpur for 5 months (January1994 - 14 May 1994)

Administration Officer. Was there till the Opening Ceremony by the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun (then Dato' Seri) Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

4. NATIONAL PALACE (ISTANA NEGARA) for 12 years ( 15 May 1994 - 26 March 2005 and from May 2005 - 28 February 2006 - on contract )

4.1 The Assistant Grand Chamberlain (Penolong Datuk Paduka Maharajalela).

Handled protocol and ceremonial matters involving both Their Majesties, The Yang di-Pertuan Agong and The Raja Permaisuri Agong (held at the palace or out of the palace).

4.2 Organize ceremonies, functions and activities involving Their Majesties, Their Royal Highnesses the nine Sultans / Raja, four Governors, foreign Heads of States (Monarchs and Presidents), the Prime Minister of Malaysia and foreign Heads of Governments (Prime Ministers), Ministers (both local and foreign), High Commissioners, Ambassadors (both Malaysian and foreign diplomats) and other dignitaries

4.3 Had the honour to serve three Yang di-Pertuan Agongs i.e.:

His Royal Highness the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar of N.Sembilan - ( the 10th Yang di-Pertuan Agong )

His Royal Highness the late Sultan of Selangor ( the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Agong )

His Royal Highness the Raja of Perlis - the 12th Yang di-Pertuan Agong ( the 12th / present Yang di-Pertuan Agong ) and one Timbalan (Deputy) Yang di-Pertuan Agong (twice)

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Terengganu
